your in Philadelphia this weekend, The Black Farmers and Agricultural Association (BFAA) will be selling fruits and vegetables in North Philadelphia on Saturday, August 16, 2008. The event will begin at 8:00 a.m. – until sold out. The address is 2811-2815 North Broad Street, at the open lot between Somerset Street and Glenwood Avenue. The produce will be sold in an “open-air” atmosphere, just like a Farmers Market.
If your in Alabama or somewhere close by, consider attending the Federation of Southern Cooperatives annual meeting. Most of the events have already taken place for this annual conference, but you still might be able to meet people like yourself, interested in our land, and ways we can feed ourselves.
